Real Family Story
68,000

We Did It. We Sorted 68,000 Photos.

(And we're not tech experts)

Hi everyone,

β€” Marc & Sophie

We wanted to share something that literally saved our lives, or at least, saved our last 20 years of memories.

Our situation was, to be honest, "overwhelming". We had 68,000 photos. Yes, 68,000. Photos of our kids as babies, our parents, our trips to Spain, Thailand, Japan... everything was scattered across three different external hard drives and in "TO SORT" folders dating back to 2010.

We didn't even know where to start. We tried doing it manually, but we'd give up after an hour. Online services? We never trusted them, and we weren't going to pay a monthly subscription just for that.

The Discovery: PhotoGlobe Sorter

We came across this software, PhotoGlobe Sorter, kind of by accident. What made us decide to try it was the price:

$39

Not per month. Once. For life.

For a family like ours, that's night and day.

Taking the Leap

We bought it thinking "worst case, we've lost $39."

We plugged in the biggest hard drive (the 4TB one). We launched the software. We just told it "take all of this, and put it in order in this new folder." We clicked "Start" and let the computer run all night, not really believing it would work.

The Result? It Did It.

The next morning, everything was sorted. 68,000 photos. It didn't crash. There were no errors.

We now have a "Sorted Photos" folder with:

.../2005/
.../2006/
.../2007/
...

And inside, it's sorted by month, then by country, then by city.

The Thing That Blew Our Minds

What amazed us was our trips. The software recognized our photos from Kyoto. We don't know how it does it (apparently it's something called UTF-8), but it created a folder:

.../Japan/京都 (Kyoto) without any bugs!

For us, that's magic.

"We opened the PDF report on the tablet. It showed us a world map with 'heat zones' of all our travels. We rediscovered weekend trips to Italy we had completely forgotten. Seeing our 20 years of life summarized like that was a truly emotional moment."

It's Not a Gadget

It's a tool that made our memories accessible again. For $39, it took a huge weight off our shoulders.

If you're a regular family drowning in photos, honestly, this is the solution.
